Communication is the FVMA’s most vital tool.
It serves as the nexus that connects our 4,500 members, and it enables the Association to reach professionals in veterinary medicine and industry across the U.S. and around the world.
We share information of importance to the veterinary profession, and about the Association’s world-class continuing education programs with members and stakeholders by utilizing web-based technologies and social media, direct mailings, and through our publications, the FVMA Advocate and The Practitioner.
“Member ALERT” is an ongoing member service which is our major vehicle for keeping the membership informed on breaking news and legislative and regulatory matters affecting veterinary medicine. Expedited through email blasts, we make sure the latest information gets to our members quickly.
We constantly evaluate the most effective and efficient manner to communicate in a thoughtful and professional manner in order to better serve our FVMA membership,\and the wider veterinary community.
This popular magazine offers FVMA members a variety of information from comprehensive features and news to member profiles and organizational updates. It is a bi-monthly publication and is distributed to members at no charge as a member service. We encourage members to send in information to be shared in the magazine – photographs, regional association news, calendar events, etc.
The PractitionerThis full-color magazine is circulated to 7,500 equine practitioners nationally. Published quarterly, our scientific periodical is an equine-exclusive journal. It is managed by the FAEP, the equine-exclusive division of the FVMA, which supports the professional development of the Association’s equine veterinarians, and provides continuing education in equine veterinary medicine.
