Over the course of two days in Fort Walton Beach, seasoned veterinarians stepped out of the office and into the operating room to sharpen their surgical skills through the FVMA’s Advanced Canine Surgery Wet Lab. - Enucleation
- Temporary tracheostomy
- Chest tube placement
- Orthopedic joint injections
- Abdominal exploration with gastropexy
Led by board-certified surgeon Scott Rose, DVM, DACVS, the hands-on program provided participants with the opportunity to strengthen both their technical abilities and clinical confidence while performing procedures commonly encountered in emergency and general practice under Dr. Rose’s expert instruction. This combination of expert guidance, real-time feedback and hands-on repetition allowed attendees to leave with practical skills they could immediately apply in practice, increasing their confidence in managing complex surgical cases and expanding the range of services they can provide to their patients.
